Smoking tobacco is one of the most pervasive activities in society today. Tobacco smoke can be smelled virtually anywhere even though the effects of smoking tobacco are well known. While it is true that teenage tobacco smokers are frowned upon by society at large, smoking tobacco is now becoming largely incompatible with the environmental tobacco smoke impact studies that showcase the effects of the smoke not only on flora and fauna but also on your fellow human beings.
Here are ten facts on smoking tobacco that you might not have thought of before: Some smokers allege that they are smoking tobacco as a hobby and are not addicted. The truth of the matter is that if you are smoking alone, you are most likely addicted. There is the notion that if you quit smoking and tobacco use you will gain weight. It is true that some ex smokers do put on the pounds, but this is due their supplementing candy and chocolate instead of cigarettes. If you choose carrot sticks or celery instead, you won’t gain an ounce. The short term effects of tobacco smoking are quickly counteracted. While this is partially true, the fact remains that tobacco smokers’ lungs are becoming impacted from the very first puff on. Parents believe that a tobacco smoke detector will alert them to anyone smoking tobacco in their absence in the home. There are several chemical sprays available that neutralize the air and thus these detectors are not effective for teen supervision. Smoking tobacco from a pipe instead of through a cigarette is supposed to be healthier. While there are some who question “what are the effects of smoking tobacco” from such a device, the reality remains that the smoke still contains carcinogens, even if the paper is eliminated. There is a rumor that the harmful effects of tobacco smoking may be eliminated by using a hookah. This is nonsense. Even though the smoke is cooled by the hookah’s water, the water does not remove any of the harmful substances from the smoke itself. It is said that the effects of smoking and chewing tobacco can be avoided by adding certain substances that may be purchased on the Internet. These additives range from herbs to sprays to mysterious drops that should be added to the tobacco before use. This is a falsehood since there is not substance on earth that will render tobacco smoke harmless. Mouth cancer from smoking tobacco is a very real possibility for any smoker. Pipe smoking tobacco is not healthier than chewing it. Smoking clove cigarettes and also herbal cigs is just as harmful as any other smoke. |
